The present invention relates to an apparatus and method that can be used to obtain nitrogen from humid air using dopamine in an alkaline aqueous medium and to produce other gases (hydrogen in free or bound state, such as ammonium, for example). The reaction medium is ionic and is operated by electrolysis using electrodes of different metals at temperatures and pressures close to ambient conditions. |
