abstract The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising lamivudine phenylacetate, lamivudine 4-chlorophenylacetate, lamivudine 4-hydroxyphenylacetate, lamivudine 4-nitrophenylacetate, lamivudine 4-nitrobenzoate, lamivudine 4-hydroxybenzoate, -3-methoxybenzoate and a process for preparing the same. The novel lamivudine acid addition salt of the present invention is a novel compound having a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitory activity and can be effectively used as an antiviral drug such as AIDS (HIV) and hepatitis B (HBV) therapeutic agent.
