One or more 5-position substituted furfural compounds selected from the group consisting of an acid-curable resin, 5-hydroxymethyl furfural and 5-acetoxy methyl furfural, and one kind selected from the group consisting of urea and urea derivatives Wherein the percentage of the 5-position substituted furfural compound (s) is 1 to 60% by weight of the binder composition, wherein the content of the 5-position substituted furfural compound (s) is in the range of 1 to 60% by weight. The percentage of the compound (s) in the group consisting of the urea and urea derivatives is preferably 0.3 to 10% by weight of the binder composition. |
