The present invention relates to a novel method for producing cephalosporin C, and more particularly, to a method for producing cephalosporin C using microorganisms, which comprises culturing acessalonium chrysosporium in a culture medium containing xylose as a carbon source, ( Acremonium chrysogenum ). According to the present invention, biomass can be effectively utilized, and the process cost can be reduced through production of cephalosporin C using xylose. |
