Golf balls include cores made from highly neutralized polymers mixed with a hardness modifier. The modifier may be a process oil or a plasticizer. In particular, modifiers may be naphthenic process oils, paraffinic process oils, phthalate plasticizers, trimellitate plasticizers, adipate plasticizers, sebacate-based plasticizers, maleate-based plasticizers, and blends thereof. Also disclosed is a method of making golf balls comprising varying the hardness of a highly neutralized polymer core. |
