titleOfInvention | Hyrogen generation systems and methods utilizing sodium silicide and sodium silica gel materials |
abstract | Systems, apparatus and methods combine a thermally stable reaction material and an aqueous solution to produce hydrogen and nontoxic liquid byproducts. The reaction material may be sodium silicate or silica gel sodium. Hydrogen generators are used in fuel cells and other industrial applications. One system is formed by a combination of cooling, pumping, water storage, and other devices for sensing and controlling the reaction between the reaction material and the aqueous solution to generate hydrogen. The spring and other pressurizing mechanisms pressurize the aqueous solution and transfer it to the reaction material. Check valves and other pressure regulating devices can regulate the pressure of the aqueous solution delivered to the reactor internal reactant fuel material based on the characteristics of the pressurization mechanism and adjust the pressure of the aqueous carrier solution according to the normal attenuation associated with the pressurization force. The pressure regulating mechanism can also prevent the hydrogen gas from deflecting the pressure regulating mechanism. |
