The surface treatment agent for self-precipitation type copper of the present invention comprises 1 to 60 parts by mass of a water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer, 30 to 99 parts by mass of a water-based solvent and 0.01 to 5 parts by mass of a copper complexing agent, Is in the range of -500 to +200 ㎷ (vs. SHE).
