abstract | The present invention relates to a novel aromatic compound, a process for producing the same, a carbon nanotube surface-modified using the same, and a process for producing a carbon nanotube / polycarbonate nanocomposite. The novel aromatic compound according to the present invention can be produced by homogeneously dispersing carbon nanotubes modified by noncovalent bonding with the surface of a carbon nanotube in a polycarbonate matrix without deforming the inherent structure of the carbon nanotube, The surface resistance of the nanocomposite is lowered, thereby increasing the electromagnetic wave shielding ratio and improving the electrical conductivity and mechanical strength. Accordingly, the carbon nanotube / polycarbonate composite material that is surface-modified with the novel aromatic compound of the present invention can be usefully used as an electronic product material such as a portable PC, an exterior of a digital camera, a mobile phone housing, and a TV frame. |
