As described above and as further defined by the following claims, the present invention provides a method of creating an ophthalmic lens having a stabilizing feature and a rigid insert, wherein the stabilizing feature is disposed in the eye The ophthalmic lens can be oriented. In some embodiments, the stabilizing features may be included as a unique reactive monomer mixture having properties distinct from the encapsulated RMM. Other embodiments may include stabilizing features that include separate insert pieces. In alternative embodiments, the rigid insert may include stabilizing features, such as, for example, a thermoforming technique. |
