abstract The present invention relates to a gene composition for predicting meat quality of pigs, a microarray and kit comprising the same, and a method for predicting meat quality of pigs using the same. Through the present invention, it can be confirmed that the mutation of GADD45A gene is a causative gene controlling the QTL domain of porcine meat quality traits of chromosome 6 through analysis of association with pig meat quality related traits such as muscle fat content and back fat thickness. In addition, the GADD45A gene which affects the meat quality of pigs can be used for early diagnosis and selection for producing high quality meat having excellent meat quality.
