abstract |
An extractor 101 for an aerosol generating device can be provided. The apparatus comprises a heater (115) configured to receive a smoking article (201) comprising an aerosol forming substrate (203) and to heat the aerosol forming substrate to form an aerosol. The extractor is for extracting the smoking article contained in the aerosol generating device. The extractor includes a sliding container 105 for accommodating the smoking article, and a sleeve 103 for receiving the sliding container. The sliding container is slidable in a sleeve between a first state in which the aerosol forming substrate of the smoking article is heated to be heated by the heater and a second state in which the aerosol forming substrate is substantially separated from the heater. When the sliding container and the smoking article move from the first state to the second state, the sliding container includes a support (105b) for supporting the aerosol forming substrate of the smoking article. It is possible to provide a smoking system which is heated by an electric furnace including such an extractor. |
