abstract |
The present invention relates to a rice which is capable of expressing a resveratrol synthase gene on the 12th chromosome of natural rice and biosynthesizes resveratrol at a high concentration, and rice produced from the rice. The present invention also provides a health functional food composition for prevention and improvement of metabolic diseases comprising rice obtained from a rice plant which is capable of expressing resveratrol synthase gene on chromosome 12 of natural rice and capable of biosynthesizing resveratrol at a high concentration , Animal feed compositions and pharmaceutical compositions. The rice produced from the rice containing the resveratrol of the present invention containing the resveratrol-producing enzyme of the present invention has a far superior effect than when consumed with the same amount of resveratrol. In addition, it can be widely used as foods, feeds and medicines for prevention and improvement of metabolic diseases, as it is produced in the form of rice which can be used directly as food without separate resveratrol. |
