| abstract |
The treating agent for ship ballast water is a sodium hypochlorite solution mixed with phosphate and sodium hydroxide and having a pH of 10 to 13. It is preferable that the amount of phosphate is 30: 1 to 2: 1 in terms of weight ratio of phosphoric acid (PO 4 ) to effective chlorine (effective chlorine: phosphoric acid). Such treatment agents for ship ballast water have excellent stability and anticorrosion as well as excellence in microbial organisms such as bacterium and plankton contained in the ballast water of ships. |
