abstract The present invention relates to an activated ion calcium composition for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, and more particularly, to an active ion calcium composition for preventing and treating osteoporosis, which comprises an active ion calcium composition comprising Sigma anti-bonding Molecule Calcium Carbonate (SAC) Prevention and treatment. The calcium composition containing SAC of the present invention restored the blood levels of 17? -Estradiol, osteocalcin and CTx, which are bone conversion markers, to normal levels, and increased bone mineral density, calcium and phosphorus concentrations. Therefore, the SAC-containing composition of the present invention can be effectively used as a composition for preventing and treating osteoporosis and a health functional food.
