The present invention relates to a whitening cosmetic composition containing Clerodendrum trichotomum extract as an active ingredient, characterized in that it contains 0.001 to 30.0% by weight, based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition, as an effective ingredient. According to the present invention, the extracts of Nomad saponaceae inhibit melanin production by inhibiting some reactions during the melanin production process, so that not only the whitening effect is excellent but also there is no skin irritation and the stability as a product and safety on the skin are excellent. |
