abstract The present invention discloses vanadium-based insulin mimetic formulation composite coatings, application of such coatings to bioembedded devices, and the use of bioembedded devices to promote bone treatment. The present invention also encompasses a method of making a bioembedded device coated with a vanadium-based insulin mimetic formulation composite and a bioembedded device so produced. The bioembedded device can be widely applied in addition to the treatment of fractures, bone trauma, arthroplasty, and other bone defect conditions, as well as bone injuries that occur during military and sporting activities.
