titleOfInvention | Process for preparing ditrimethylolpropane |
abstract | A method for preparing di-TMP by reacting normal butylaldehyde (NBD), formaldehyde and base, wherein NBD, formaldehyde (1) and base (I) are reacted to form trimethylolpropane (TMP) and di-TMP and Distillation was carried out in a first step of obtaining a reaction mixture containing 2-ethyl-2-propenal (ECR), a second step of distilling off ECR from the reaction mixture, and the reaction mixture after distillation recovery of ECR. ECR is added successively, and also has a 3rd step which advances reaction which produces di-TMP by adding at least one of base (II) and formaldehyde (2), Any one of the 1st-3rd steps Or it provides a method of producing di-TMP adding TMP in a plurality of steps. |
