How to control insects |
abstract |
The insect control method comprises applying at least one spinosin compound to a site of a strain of Drosophila melanogaster having resistance to neonicotinoid-resistant insects, for example neonicotinoid compounds. The spinosyn compound may be a mixture of spinosyn A and spinosyn D. Spinosyn compounds can cause an approximately 10-fold increased mortality rate in neonicotinoid-resistant insects compared to insects sensitive to neonicotinoid compounds. |
