titleOfInvention Nematic liquid crystal composition and liquid crystal display device using the same
abstract The present invention relates to a nematic liquid crystal composition having a positive dielectric anisotropy (DELTA epsilon) useful as a liquid crystal display material and a liquid crystal display device using the same. The liquid crystal composition of the present invention has a liquid crystal phase in a wide temperature range, has low viscosity, good solubility at low temperatures, high specific resistance and high voltage retention, and is stable to heat and light. Therefore, by using this, liquid crystal display elements, such as IPS type and TN type, which are excellent in display quality and are hard to produce display defects, such as baking and dropping traces, can be provided with a good yield. The liquid crystal display device using the liquid crystal composition of the present invention is useful for achieving both a high-speed response and suppression of display failure, and is particularly useful for a liquid crystal display device for driving an active matrix. In a liquid crystal display device for a VA mode, a PSVA mode, .
