The present invention relates to laminated solar light collecting devices and their manufacture from polymeric materials. The solar light collecting device of the present invention can be used in photovoltaic systems or solar energy systems. The solar light concentrating device of the present invention includes a Fresnel lens, and enables efficient condensation of solar radiation to an object such as a solar cell or an absorber unit regardless of its shape structure. This relates to the field of high-performance solar cells as used for example in concentrated photovoltaic devices (CPVs), as well as absorbers used in concentrated solar energy systems (CSPs). The present invention relates, in particular, to the use of the UV- and weathering-stabilizer packages for laminated solar concentrators for the improvement of optical life and weather resistance and the prevention of delamination. The present invention also relates to surface finishes associated with scratch resistance, antifouling properties, anti-reflective properties and chemical resistance of solar light collecting devices. |
