Superantigen variants derived from staphylococcal enterotoxin and fusion proteins linked to target specific polypeptides and uses thereof |
abstract |
Disclosed herein are modified staphylococcal Enterotoxin B (SEB), polynucleotides encoding the same, vectors and host cells comprising the same. The present application also discloses the use of a modified SEB or wild type SEB and a target specific polypeptide fused therewith as a fusion protein and a therapeutic agent thereof. The SEB variants disclosed herein and fusion proteins comprising the same may be prepared to specifically recognize specific cells, and thus may be usefully used in the treatment of diseases by inducing death of specific cells such as cancer through activation of the immune system. |
