abstract |
Methods and systems are described for controlling the penetration of ambient air into an organic Rankine system and the leakage of process gas out of the organic Rankine system. In order to prevent leakage of process gas when the organic Rankine system is operating, a first sealing mechanism can be used, for example a double dry gas seal. In order to prevent the ingress of ambient air when the organic Rankine system is at rest, a second sealing mechanism can be used, for example an inflatable stationary ring seal. One or more pressure sensors may be provided in the organic Rankine system, for example, to determine whether infiltration of ambient air has occurred and a system purge is needed. |
