abstract | A nonaqueous electrolyte solution capable of providing a battery having a high capacity and excellent storage characteristics and cycle characteristics, and a nonaqueous electrolyte battery prepared using the same. The nonaqueous electrolyte solution contains (1) a cyclic carbonate having an unsaturated bond, and further contains a fluorinated cyclic carbonate having two or more fluorine atoms, or (2) contains an aromatic compound having a total carbon number of 7 or more and 18 or less (3) contains diethyl carbonate and contains a fluorinated cyclic carbonate having two or more fluorine atoms, or (4) contains a fluorinated cyclic carbonate having two or more fluorine atoms, or (4) contains a fluorinated cyclic carbonate having two or more fluorine atoms, A fluorinated cyclic carbonate having at least one fluorine atom and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a sulfonate ester compound, a disulfonate ester compound, a nitrile compound, and a compound represented by the general formula (1) do. (5) The electrolytic solution for use in a high-voltage battery in which the nonaqueous electrolytic solution has a charging end voltage of not less than 4.3 V, is characterized by containing a fluorinated cyclic carbonate having two or more fluorine atoms.
