abstract |
Disclosed is the invention in the field of performing immunoassays of 25 (OH) vitamin D in blood or blood components, in particular serum or plasma. The present invention uses perfluoro alkyl acids or salts thereof to release 25 (OH) vitamin D from the vitamin D binding protein. Thereafter, binding proteins comprising 25-OH vitamin D are subjected to competitive binding assays with labeled vitamin D compounds. |
