abstract |
The present invention relates to a liquid crystal medium comprising component A consisting of at least one compound of the formula (I) and to corresponding novel mesogenic compounds and methods for their preparation. The invention also relates to the use of said liquid crystalline media, in particular in components for high frequency technology and to components of this type containing the medium according to the invention, as well as methods and methods of making these components. The component according to the invention is particularly suitable for phase shifters in the microwave and millimeter wave region for microwave and millimeter wave array antennas, in particular so-called adjustable "reflectarrays".
