abstract |
Provided are a food package comprising a heat sealable food packaging film, a method of manufacturing the same, and a heat sealable food packaging film. The heat sealable food packaging film includes a humidity-dependent permeable film having a moisture permeability that increases with an increase in relative humidity (RH). The outer coating comprises a coating material on at least one side of the humidity-dependent transmissive film. The coating material is selected from polyvinylidene chloride (PVdC) polymers or nanoclays dispersed in stretch urethane polymers, stretch acrylic polymers, or a combination of stretch urethane polymers and stretch acrylic polymers. The coating material may further comprise an anti-blocking agent. The heat sealable food packaging film is biaxially stretched. |
