abstract |
Dipeptide analogs comprising tryptophan (Trp) moieties coupled to beta-sheet breaking moieties derived from alpha-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib) are disclosed. The dipeptide analogs have been shown to have an improved ability to inhibit amyloid fibril formation over conventional dipeptides. Also disclosed are compositions comprising such dipeptide analogs and their use for treating amyloid-related diseases and disorders. |
