titleOfInvention | Prosthetic tissue valve |
abstract | Prosthetic tissue valves for aortic valves, lung valves, mitral valves of the heart, or tricuspid valves of the right ventricle of the heart are described. Also described is a suture ring for use in the prosthetic tissue valve. The valve may have a circumference longer than a circumference of the ring in the defective valve. The valve is substantially planar at the non-stressed position prior to attachment in the annulus and substantially nonplanar when attached at the biased position in the annulus. Methods are provided for positioning the described valve at a biased position in a loop of a defective valve. |
