According to the present invention, one or more specific inorganic adsorbents are added to an aqueous solution containing ruthenium or a ruthenium compound, all or part of the inorganic adsorbent is dissolved under acidic acid, and then alkali is added to adjust the pH to an alkalinity of 7 or more. By adsorbing the ruthenium compound to the inorganic adsorbent while precipitating the inorganic adsorbent, expensive ruthenium or ruthenium compound can be efficiently recovered even from an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble salt, a lower alcohol, an organic acid, or the like. |
