The present invention provides a variety of uses associated with increasing hTRPA1 activity of a composition comprising asteraceae plant extract as an active ingredient, eg, for screening irritant flavors, anti-obesity agents and hTRPA1 antagonists. Asteraceae plant extract of the present invention provides a variety of uses associated with hTRPA1 activation, as a natural compound has a relatively low side effects to the human body and a high industrial applicability. The Asteraceae plant extract of the present invention is not only a novel pharmaceutical or food material that helps maintain homeostasis in humans associated with the activation of hTRPA1, but can be usefully used for screening antagonists of hTRPA1. |
