The present invention relates to a method for producing a conjugated diolefin capable of inhibiting high boiling point reaction by-products from remaining in a subsequent step of a quenching step by a quench tower, and a conjugated diolefin based on a mixed hydrocarbon that is not necessarily high-purity industrial grade. Even when producing (eg, butadiene), an object thereof is to provide a method for producing a conjugated diolefin (eg, 1,3-butadiene) that can be used as a raw material such as synthetic rubber or resin. In the method for producing a conjugated diolefin of the present invention, a hydrocarbon containing oxygen having at least 4 carbon atoms and oxygen are supplied to a reactor containing a catalyst containing a metal oxide and a carrier to generate a reaction product gas containing the conjugated diolefin. And a step of feeding the reaction product gas into a quench tower and washing with a quenching agent, and using an aqueous organic amine solution as the quenching agent. |
