abstract The present invention relates to a substrate module for an image display device and an image display device including the same. More specifically, a color filter, a transparent substrate, and a patterned retarder are sequentially arranged from a light source, and the transparent substrate is patterned. By providing an air gap in an area corresponding to the boundary between the pattern and the pattern of the retarder, the cross-talk phenomenon hardly occurs, and thus an image display capable of enlarging the viewing angle of the 3D image is possible. A substrate module for an apparatus and an image display device having the same.
