abstract | The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing bio-oil containing high concentration of DHA by culturing thraustochytrid-based microalgae using a saccharified liquid of fibrous palm oil by-products and, more particularly, to a method for manufacturing bio-oil, which is characterized by culturing thraustochytrid-based microalgae in a medium using a saccharified liquid of fibrous palm oil by-products, producing bio-oil, and collecting the produced bio-oil. The method for manufacturing bio-oil according to the present invention enables production of bio-oil from rich non-food fibrous biomass by culturing thraustochytrid-based microalgae, thereby overcoming the limitations for biofuel developments, such as the instability of the supply and demand and increase in the prices for raw materials and acquiring industrial competitiveness of microorganism fermented oil.
