Methods, compositions, and kits are provided for the treatment of matrix mineralization disorders such as hypophosphatasia. In particular, the present invention provides polypeptides having soluble alkaline phosphatase dissolved in the Fc domain of an immunoglobulin. Such polypeptides may be administered to patients, for example subcutaneously, to treat hypophosphatases using enzyme replacements. The invention also has features of nucleic acids encoding such polypeptides, and the use of such nucleic acids to treat matrix mineralization disorders. |
