abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for removing impurities of a lithium transition metal oxide for an electrode of a lithium secondary battery. More specifically, the present invention relates to an impurity removal method capable of improving the life characteristics and the high-temperature standing characteristics of a lithium secondary battery by removing impurities from the lithium secondary battery electrode without reducing the capacity of the lithium secondary battery. Method for removing impurities of the lithium transition metal oxide according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of (a) preparing a lithium transition metal oxide in powder or bulk form; (b) generating and supplying an active gas for treating the lithium transition metal oxide; and (c) treating the lithium transition metal oxide using the activated gas generated and supplied in step (b). |
