abstract | [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for producing hollow polymer fine particles, which reduces generation of crushed concave fine particles having a low hollow ratio and increases fine particles having a high hollow ratio. [Solution] A polymer containing an organic solvent by emulsifying and dispersing a polymerizable monomer for forming the outer shell of the polymer microparticles and an organic solvent in the aqueous medium, and suspending polymerization of the polymerizable monomer in the presence of a polymerization initiator. A method for producing hollow polymer microparticles by forming microparticles, vaporizing an organic solvent contained in the polymer microparticles, passing through the outer shell of the microparticles, and evaporating and removing the organic solvent contained in the polymer microparticles.
