The present invention relates to a multichromophoric assembly comprising a metal porphyrin scaffold. In one embodiment, the chromophore assembly described herein may constitute at least a portion of an active region of an organic photosensitive device, such as in donor-acceptor heterojunctions of organic solar cells. The present disclosure also relates, in part, to a method for generating an electric field-stabilized double polaron pair comprising applying an electric field to the chromophore assembly described herein, or alternatively, directly to the metal porphyrin provided by the present application. . Further, the present application relates, in part, to a chromophore assembly comprising a metal porphyrin scaffold that exhibits enhanced energy transfer properties. |
