The trichromatic leaf extract, an active ingredient of the food composition for preventing or improving diabetes, inhibits the death of beta cells of the pancreas related to the secretion of insulin, increases the amount of insulin secretion, and is excellent in reducing blood sugar and triglyceride levels. As a result of confirming the toxicity results through the experimental results, it was confirmed that there is no toxicity, the functional food composition for preventing or improving diabetes can be widely used for various uses for the treatment, prevention or improvement of diabetes or diabetes complications.
