abstract |
The present invention provides a composition for preventing or treating skin photodamage, comprising cilostazol or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. In accordance with the present invention, cilostazol or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof inhibits the MAPK and AP-1 pathways, resulting in MMP-1 (metrics metalloproteinase-1) expression and type 2 percollagen synthesis by UV irradiation. It can be usefully used as a medicine, food or cosmetics for the prevention or treatment of skin photodamage caused by ultraviolet rays. |
