Selective Integrin Inhibitors |
abstract |
The present invention provides a method for selectively antagonizing α4β1 integrin heterodimers in a subject in need of selective antagonism of α4β1 integrin heterodimers, and preferably in a human subject. The methods of the present invention utilize a conjugate comprising two or more α4β1 small molecule antagonists covalently attached to a biocompatible polymer. These methods of selectively antagonizing α4β1 can be used to regulate both normal and pathological biological processes that are at least partially mediated through α4β1 activity. |
