titleOfInvention | Antimicrobial composition comprising plant extract or fractions thereof |
abstract | The present invention relates to an antimicrobial composition containing any one or more plant extracts selected from the group consisting of wormwood, yongcho, lane, persimmon scent, saengpungja, miso grass and branch as an active ingredient. The antimicrobial composition prepared using the plant of the present invention exhibits antimicrobial activity not only to methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus, but also to methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, and especially since it exhibits a synergistic effect when a conventional antimicrobial agent is further included. The value would be very large. In other words, even when a small amount of antimicrobial agent is used, the antimicrobial activity may be equal to or higher than that of a conventional antimicrobial agent, resulting in low risk of side effects caused by abuse of the antimicrobial agent, and economical and efficient. In addition, because they use plants that can be easily found in Korea, they can seek their resources and high value-added products. |
