abstract | The present invention relates to a composition for treating diabetes using decosinol angelate as an active ingredient, and to a composition for treating diabetes having an effect of treating diabetes by reducing blood sugar using decosinol angelate. The composition for treating diabetes of the present invention increases glucose drop, diet and feed efficiency, increases activation of AMP-Activated Protein Kinase and expression of glucose transporter-4 in muscle tissue, thereby transporting glucose. Glucose transporter-4 transports glucose into muscle tissue and is effective in treating diabetes. In addition, the diabetic therapeutic composition of the present invention increases the inactivation of AMP-Activated Protein Kinase and the expression of Glucose transporter-2 in the pancreatic beta cells, thereby causing the pancreatic beta cells to respond to blood glucose levels. By secreting insulin it has the effect of treating diabetes. In addition, the diabetic therapeutic composition of the present invention has the effect of restoring the beta-cell damage of the pancreas due to diabetes, and even if a large amount is used, there is no cytotoxicity and thus has the effect of increasing the survival rate of renal proximal cells by high glucose concentration. Bar is very useful as a diabetes treatment. |
