abstract The present invention relates to a rabbit model involving vascular calcification induced by periodic administration of an inflammation causing agent to normal rabbits. The rabbit model with vascular calcification according to the present invention is simple, can be carried out over a short period of time, can be provided by economical methods, and moreover it is derived from normal rabbits that do not exhibit disease or pathophysiological changes. It can be usefully used for the study of the mechanism of development of vascular calcification and related diseases.
