The present invention relates to the use of milk fat globule-EGF factor 8 (MFGE8) for liver regeneration and liver disease improvement. More specifically, MFGE8 shows high expression rate in hepatocytes induced and differentiated from human embryonic stem cells. Blood vessel regeneration may be promoted to be used alone or in combination with hepatocytes to achieve liver regeneration and liver disease improvement. |
