| abstract | The present invention relates to a method for purifying activated charcoal, wherein the granular activated charcoal having a hardness of 90 or more is washed first with clean water and dehydrated repeatedly, and secondly, washing and dehydration with charcoal aqueous solution containing 0.01 to 0.1% of wood vinegar solution. After repeated washing until no water bleeds out, the washed activated charcoal is dried to 5% or less of moisture content, and the dried activated charcoal is immersed in 0.1% to 0.5% aqueous solution for 1 day to increase the supporting ratio of wood vinegar solution.
