abstract |
The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of glaucoma comprising an angiogenin or a fragment thereof as an active ingredient. Angiogenin or a fragment thereof of the present invention shows an effect of lowering intraocular pressure through increased NO production and activation of waterproofing through the expansion of the Schlemm's canal and increased intercellular spacing, and thus can be usefully used for the prevention and treatment of glaucoma. |
