titleOfInvention Heterogeneous catalyst for preparing parabenzoquinone and catechol and preparation method using the catalyst
abstract The present invention is a heterogeneous catalyst used to prepare parabenzoquinone and catechol by reacting phenol with hydrogen peroxide, wherein the heterogeneous catalyst is a porous carrier carrying at least one metal ion selected from the group consisting of vanadium and copper. A catalyst for preparing quinones and catechols. The present invention also relates to a method for producing at least 90% by weight of parabenzoquinone and catechol based on the weight of the total product by reacting phenol and hydrogen peroxide in an organic solvent using the heterogeneous catalyst.
