abstract | PURPOSE: A method for treating lung cancer using an inhibitor of adenine nucleotide translocator 2(ANT2) expression or activation is provided to suppress lung cancer cell growth and apoptosis. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for treating lung cancer contains adenine nucleotide translocator 2 small interfering RNA(ANT2 siRNA) or ANT2 short hairpin RNA(shRNA) as an active ingredient. The ANT2 siRNA or ANT2 shRNA induces ANT2 mRNA decomposition by binding an antisense sequence of sequence number 3 with a sense sequence of sequence number 1. The composition suppresses HIF-1 transcription and translation. The composition suppresses mTOR(mammalian target of rapamycin) mechanism under an hypoxic environment. A method for treating lung cancer comprises a step of administering ANT2 siRNA or ANT2 shRNA to a patient. |
