titleOfInvention | A composition for protecting and treating skin cell damage caused by ultraviolet rays, comprising a triloretol-A compound as an active ingredient |
abstract | The present invention relates to a novel use of the Triphlorethol-A compound which has a protective effect on skin cells damaged by ultraviolet rays. Specifically, the present invention relates to a composition, food composition and cosmetic composition for protecting and treating skin cell damage caused by ultraviolet rays, comprising a triphlorethol-A compound isolated from Ecklonia cava as an active ingredient. The triphlorethol-A compound isolated from Ecklonia cava according to the present invention inhibits the generation of reactive oxygen species induced by ultraviolet light, inhibits skin cell membrane lipid peroxidation and skin cell DNA damage, and mitochondria Inhibition of caspase dependent pathways (caspase dependent pathway) through to reduce apoptosis, and has the effect of increasing the activity of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT). Therefore, the present invention can be usefully used as a composition for protecting and treating skin cell damage caused by ultraviolet rays by inhibiting skin cell damage caused by reactive oxygen species (ROS). |
