abstract |
In the production of aliphatic polyesters using recombinant microorganisms, aliphatic polyester productivity is improved. The host microorganism is made by introducing a gene encoding a protein having an activity for converting lactic acid into lactic acid CoA, and a gene encoding a protein having an activity for synthesizing polyhydroxyalkanoic acid using hydroxyacyl CoA as a substrate. The recombinant microorganism is cultured and aliphatic polyester is recovered from the medium. |
